The new charitable structure of Charitable Incorporated Organisations is now available. this course sets out the law and practice of becoming a CIO and looks at pros and cons.
The course will cover the history of the new structure, the legislation and the regulations, the procedure involved in converting an existing charitable limited company to a CIO, and the advantages and disadvantages of doing so. Course presenters will be Alan Robinson, well-known charity lawyer, and Korinne Stevens-Hall, formerly editor of the Community Matters manual. The venue is the Quaker Meeting House which is fully accessible.
Registration from 9.30 and start at 10.00. The course is followed by a buffet lunch and a chance to network and to raise problems with the presenters. All course notes provided.
