Personalisation: Reading Material and Links

ACEVO has brought together a commission of experts to look at the personalisation of public services and to report to ministers in autumn 2010. The Commission on Personalisation is looking at the various reforms underway to personalise services (e.g. through individual budgets), what the third sector's contribution could be, what the implications are for the sector, and what can be done to support the sector to seize the opportunities and address the challenges associated with personalisation - for information go to www.acevo.org.uk/personalisation.

Helen  Anderson Associates and in Control have produced a tool for providers who can check their progress in delivering personalised services. A copy of the checklist can be downloaded for free at www.progressforproviders.org

The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) has a website section on personalisation and also hosts the ‘Putting People First’ website, which provides an online hub that contains information, news, events and resources about personalisation.  The website  is also a source of information on good practice guidance, research and learning for social care and social work.
