National Indicator 7: Environment for a Thriving Third Sector
One of Doncaster’s key priorities has been identified as the need to ensure that there is support which enables local third sector organisations to be successful. The priority is part of the borough's Local Area Agreement and Doncaster’s results are measured every 2 years through the National Survey of Third Sector Organisations (NSTSO).
In order to make improvements in this priority area the Stronger and Sustainable Doncaster Board agreed a report proposing a way forward. This includes developing a single partnership third sector strategy with actions that individual public sector agencies will undertake to support local third sector organisations.
In order to help develop the strategy, Doncaster CVS undertook consultation through its annual conference, focus groups and one-to-one interviews with Community Empowerment Network members and other third sector organisations. The consultation results are available to download below.
