Informal Meeting About Personal Budgets and Direct Payments

15th September 2010

Doncaster Direct Payment Peer Support Group are hosting an open informal meeting for people on Personal Budgets or Direct Payments, or those interested in them. This is about care, when a disabled person needs assistance with a whole range of needs including personal care and leisure pursuits.

The meeting will happen at Quaker Meeting House also known as Friends Meeting House, Balby Bridge on Wednesday 29th September 2010 1pm-3pm. The venue is located as follows:

  • Trafford Way roundabout 3rd exit, left turn off main road around pedestrian crossing, at end of road turn left and venue on right with own car park that is on an incline.

The purpose of the open meeting is to invite more people to become involved in the development of the Personal Budgets scheme that DMBC run and for people to support the DPP Support Group. Our DPP Support Group has been run for several years a small number of able volunteers and we know it is now time to involve more Doncaster people to give their input and assistance to help us.

We welcome service users with a disability, informal carers, parents, carers and personal assistants and anyone interested to attend.
