More Community Grants Funding Released

24th August 2010

More Community Grants delivery money has been made available in South Yorkshire. Grants of £2000-£12000 are available to small community groups and social enterprises (annual turnover under £300,000; no more than 9 FTE staff; not in receipt of direct ESF funding). The grants are given to put on learning activities that move disadvantaged and hard-to-reach workless adults closer to the labour market.

The turnaround time on these bids is quirte short; there will be two application deadlines – Friday September 10th and Friday October 8th. All monies must be spent by the end of November 2010, so we’re really looking at bite-sized learning (short-courses/taster activities).

10 areas are being targeted in each part of the region; follow these links for an application form and guidance notes.
