Doncaster's Local Economic Assessment: Consultation

24th August 2010

From April 2010 all councils are required by the Government to assess the economic conditions of its area.  To do so all councils are required to produce a document called the Local Economic Assessment (LEA) which will enable local authorities to gain a clear understanding of the local economic strengths and weaknesses.

Doncaster Council has been working on the development of the Doncaster's Local Economic Assessment since April 2010.

A draft document has now been produced and the Council is keen to hear your views.  The document has been broken down for consultation purposes into 13 chapters, all of which can be found at: www.doncaster.gov.uk/LocalEconomicAssessment.  On this web link you will also find a series of consultation questions that the Council is inviting responses to.

The consultation period will be running from the 13th August until the 17th September; please return your answers to the consultation questions to Emma Butler at Emma.Butler@doncaster.gov.uk

As part of the consultation period the Council will be holding a stakeholder workshop on the LEA on the 15th September 10-12pm.  If you would like to attend this workshop please contact Alex.Balderstone@doncaster.gov.uk or call 01302 734504.

If you have any questions about the LEA you can contact Emma Butler on 01302 734544 or email Emma.Butler@doncaster.gov.uk
