Doncaster Tobacco Strategy Consultation
13th August 2010
Comments are being invited on the draft Tobacco Control Strategy for Doncaster.
Smoking is the main cause of preventable death and ill health in Doncaster and is also linked to fires, the illicit economy, lost productivity at work and may contribute to unnecessary litter.
The strategy has been developed following two half-day multi-agency workshops with input from the Department of Health and the Yorkshire & Humber Government Office and using the National Tobacco Control Strategy issued in February as guidance. The fine-detail around action plans and timetable for delivery will be worked up by the Tobacco Control subgroups.
