Are your floral displays blooming?

21st Doncaster In Bloom
Deadline for entries – 28 May

Open to individuals, businesses, local groups and organisations, to help celebrate the 21st Doncaster In Bloom we are looking for the borough’s most impressive floral displays and gardens, with trophies and prize money up for grabs for the greenest fingers! Check out the categories and if you think your floral displays are worthy of winning, pick up an application form or enter on-line at:

Categories include:

Category 1 – Best Presented Garden
You may enter your garden into the competition, whatever type of garden it is. Judges will assess the overall quality of plants as well as design and maintenance of the garden.

Category 1a – Best Presented Council Owned Property Garden
Entries are restricted to Council Owned Properties only. You may enter your garden into the competition, whatever type of garden it is. Judges will assess the overall quality of plants as well as design and maintenance of the garden.

Category 2 – Best Hanging Basket or Container
You can enter any container of any shape or size that you have used to create an interesting display. Additional points will be awarded for originality.

Category 2a – Best Hanging Basket or Container in a Council Owned Property
Entries are restricted to Council Owned Properties only. You can enter any container of any shape or size that you have used to create an interesting display. Additional points will be awarded for originality.

Category 3 – Commercial Premises
If your business has a horticultural delight that contributes to the attractiveness of the local area, why not enter it in the competition? Open to all business premises including shops, pubs, restaurants, petrol stations and hotels.

Category 4 – Community or Group Award
If your community or local group has an area, which has been created and/or maintained by two or more people, this category is for you. Judges will assess the use of plants, encouraging community involvement, using environmentally friendly practices and initiatives you have developed to promote and ensure cleanliness.

Category 4a – Community or Group Award for local TARAs
If your TARA has an area, which has been created and/or maintained by two or more people, this category is for you. Judges will assess the use of plants, encouraging community involvement, using environmentally friendly practices and initiatives you have developed to promote and ensure cleanliness
