Clouds Community Counselling – New Support Groups – Places available in 2010

Our small team of dedicated, trained counsellors is very excited to announce that we have secured extra funding. New groups based in Moorends will extend our existing one to one counselling service in Thorne and Moorends.
Groups include 'Moving On' for young mums and young dads, bereavement support and grandparent support. For more information contact 07962 907053, leave your name and telephone number and we will return your call.
Bereavement Support Group
from Monday April 12th 1.15pm -3.15pm
for 10 weeks at The Winning Post, Moorends
10 places are available to anyone over 18 years old who has been bereaved.
This group will offer sensitive emotional support and guidance to anyone coping with this difficult time. The opportunity to continue as an ongoing social community group will be supported by our counsellors.
Grandparent Support Group
from Monday April 12th 10.00am-12.00noon
for 10 weeks at Hedgerows Childrens Centre
10 places are available for grandparents who are the main carers of grandchildren.
This group will offer emotional support, practical advice, expert speakers, friendship and companionship. The opportunity to continue as an ongoing, social community group will be supported by our counsellors.
Moving On
For Young Mums: Wednesday April 21st 10am-12.00noon for 8 weeks
For Young Dads: Wednesday April 21st 1.15pm -3.15pm for 9 weeks
at Hedgerows Childrens Centre, Moorends - open to young mums and dads age 18 – 25 who are currently unemployed
These courses aim to build confidence, increase self awareness and improve the development of relationships in a friendly and enjoyable way. Opportunities will be explored for training, voluntary work and employment.
Members of all groups will create an individual folder of information and knowledge that will be of value to them in the future.
