Ecominds Fund Announces Closing Dates

Like Access to Nature, this Lottery funded programme has also announced that, due to the large number of applications, it is now introducing closing dates for its remaining unallocated funds.

The scheme supports community and voluntary groups who encourage people with experience of mental distress to get involved in environmental projects, such as improving open spaces and wildlife habitats, designing public art and recycling. The scheme is also open to commercial organisations for projects that operate on a not-for-profit basis, statutory bodies working in partnership with the third sector can apply for the scheme.

Ecominds reports that the small grants element of the scheme (up to £20,000) is not currently oversubscribed.

The closing dates announced are:

30 October 2009 for large grants (£60,001-£150,000);
8 January 2010 for medium grants (£20,001 - £60,000); and
30 June 2010 for small grants (up to £20,000).
