Do You Love Doncaster?

Local people are coming together to celebrate our area and support local causes on ‘I Love Doncaster’ Day - Friday February 12.
The South Yorkshire Community Foundation are launching the initiative and can match every pound you raise with another pound from government match funding. Money raised in Doncaster will be distributed to local community and voluntary organisations and will stay in Doncaster to tackle important local issues.
You can do your bit right away by taking part in activities on the day. For example, you might organise a ‘Dress Down Day’ in your workplace – a suggested donation of £2 can be turned into more than a FIVER to support local causes. Here's how it works:
Donation = £2
Gift Aid = £0.56
Total Donation = £2.56
Match funding = £2.56
Total = £5.12
If you LOVE Doncaster and want to support local causes in your area, please take part in ‘I Love Doncaster’ Day on Friday, February 12.
You can start now by downloading the ‘I Love Doncaster Day poster, plus a sheet to record donors details on, so we can claim Gift Aid and Match Funding. Please make it happen in your organisation, tell your colleagues and put some posters up. You can also help us spread the word by telling your colleagues and contacts and urging them to support local causes.
Organisations throughout the area have already shown their love for the area by getting on board such as:

- Trax FM
- Doncaster Chamber of Commerce
- Doncaster's Local Strategic Partnership Board
- Doncaster Council
- NHS Doncaster
- Doncaster CVS
- HSBC
- Police
- Fire Service
You can add your organisation’s name to this list: e-mail info@sycf.org.uk, put I Love Doncaster in the subject line, include details of what you are doing and your logo.
We will then send you your FREE ‘I Love Doncaster Official Supporter’ poster for you to display your love for the area.
