Department of Health Third Sector Investment Programme: Innovation, Excellence and Service Development Fund 2011-12 The Department of Health is making funding available to the Third Sector through the Innovation, Excellence and Service Development Fund. Applications must not be for service delivery and must have national significance. Currently funding is available for one year and there is no limit to the amount that can be applied for. more

Eco-Innovation Projects within Europe The European Commission has announced a call for proposals for the Eco-Innovation Projects within Europe. Organisations, including social enterprises and other not for profit organisations, that have developed an environmental product, service, management practice or process that has a proven track record yet has not been fully marketed due to remaining risks are eligible to apply. Around €35 million of funding is available overall, with grants available to cover up to 50% of eligible costs to help projects overcome risks and reach the market fully. Projects can last up to 36 months. more

B&Q Waste Donation Scheme B&Q operates a waste donation scheme through all stores. This scheme allows donation of waste materials, for example slightly damaged tins of paint, off-cuts of timber, and end of range materials, to community groups, charities and schools. more
