Who is it for?
So, for organisations that want to embrace the development of business solutions to social problems as a part of their overall sustainability, this programme is for you. For 2010, VC Train is putting together an imaginative, thought provoking and inspiring programme of support, designed for the decision makers and leaders within their
organisations.

What will I gain from this workshop?
The workshops will cover the following topics:

• Understanding the immovable aspect of any social enterprise – the social mission
• Translating the social mission into your strategic planning
• Understanding and embracing new opportunities to achieve your social mission
• Creating a culture of greatness within your organization
• Putting it all into action – creating a practical action plan

Who will present it?
The programme will be led by Andy Peers, Managing Director of Love Enterprise. Andy and his team will deliver an injection of enthusiasm, energy, inspiration and real experience into your social enterprise journey.

After a career in retail management, Andy held the posts of Head of Sales for The Big Issue in the North, Chief Executive for The Big Issue South West and Executive Director for The Big Life Group of social businesses and charities. These were roles in which the balancing of social and financial tensions were ever present – a situation that social enterprises face everyday. He has proved that social and financial aims do not exist in isolation but that when embraced in equal measure can create successful and sustainable social enterprises.
