Doncaster Active Partnership has been awarded funding by NDC (New Deal for Communities) to deliver a wide programme of free activities between November 2009 and March 2010. NDC Residents are being encouraged to apply for the free One Commitment card to entitle them to a programme of activities (including swimming lessons, gym membership, ice skating, golf and watersports) at a range of venues, as well as outreach activities in communities such as dance, street sports and fitness. NDC based groups can also access bespoke activities or party bookings including free transport and food.
darts (Doncaster Community Arts) is co-ordinating a range of Launch Events across the NDC area to promote the programme and offer an opportunity to try out activities. We would like as many appropriate organisations, groups and agencies as possible to get involved and attend the events.
This is an initial request for Agency / Organisation / Group attendance at the One Commitment Launch events.
Ideas both for your own – and other – provision could be: Nutrition information, private gyms in the NDC area promoting themselves, a range of stands – healthy eating, activities, fitness testing, sports club demonstrations etc. etc. – the more ideas and contact details the better.
These events are a great (free) opportunity to promote your service, group or activity to NDC residents and other Doncaster residents
